Michela was born in Forli, Italy. She pursued her passion to draw and attended the Art Institute, studying decoration and restoration.
She continued her studies in the Art Academy in Bologna, studying a scene-designing course. Here she discovered theatre scenery, which inspired her to discover and explore art and creativity in a new way.
For many years, Michela worked and built on her experience in different theatre, theatric companies, and other private scene companies where she created many paintings and sculptures. Her work has included on stage set dressing and working with many different materials such as polystyrene, wood, colours and resin show.
In 2003, Michela started to carve sand in her place on the beach. Now she had discovered a new way to train herself in art. Since that time she has completed more and more sand projects, and attended many different events around Europe, won numerous awards.
Michela has always been a very creative person and so it was natural for her to train as a scenic artist, she had her first opportunity to sculpt sand in 2004 which she loved & since 2006 she has travelled the world taking part in sand and snow events where she has gained a reputation as an excellent sculptor.
Michela had her hands full with not one but two sculptures this year. Her first piece is Frankenstein’s Monster. It is a towering piece that that looms over visitors. Her second piece is Origin Of Species showing Mans evolution from Ape.
