Halloween is on its way and SandWorld has spooktacular events planned for October Half Term.
Back by popular demand! The DORSET TROOPERS will be joining us for some charity fundraising for Julia’s House and local Weymouth charity the MV Freedom on Sunday October 26th!
On top of that there will be book signings galore with Stonewylde Author; Kit Berry, local Authors Laura James and Kathy Sharp and Ron Dawson; creator of Scary Bones the Skeleton!
There will be the usual Halloween fun with the SandWorld Team in fancy dress with Sand Pumpkin Carving and fancy dress competitions.

Sandworld Weymouth Sand Sculpture Festival opens for the 2014 season on April 5 with an amazing theme “Literally Sand” which is inspired by some your favourite books and authors.
Amongst others, War Horse, Jungle Book, Lord of the Rings, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Frankienstein and the works of Shakespeare are featured as huge sand sculptures.
The Festival will be opend by Kit Berry author of the Stonewylde series and other local authors will be present doing readings and book signings.
Along with a charity raffle, Live Music and BBQ (weather permitting) the day promises to be fun packed and well worth getting along to …

The show at Sandworld in 2014 is called “Literally Sand” and is based on a theme of “Books and Authors”. From The Mr Men to Shakespeare, there will be something for everyone to appreciate.
